Accessibility statement
Last updated:
qourat aims to make public evidence understandable and usable across devices and ways of browsing. The public site is designed around readable text, ordinary links, semantic HTML and a consistent layout.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a design and testing target, not a claim of independent certification or a guarantee that every page is free of barriers.
Navigation and page structure
Each page has a header, labelled navigation, a main content area and a footer with information and policy links. The first keyboard link skips directly to the main content. Long information pages have an “On this page” list linking to their sections.
Headings describe the page and its sections in order. Links use ordinary browser behaviour, so you can open them in another tab or use browser history. Keyboard focus has a visible outline. The shared navigation marks the current page when it is one of its destinations.
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls, Enter to follow a link, and the browser’s standard controls to move back, search the page or change zoom. No mouse gesture is required for the information pages.
Reading, appearance and small screens
The site uses system fonts, a limited reading width and text that can reflow on a small screen. Light and dark colours follow the preference set in your browser or operating system. Information does not depend on an animation, a background image or a custom font download.
Browser zoom and text-size settings remain available. Wide data tables can scroll within their own area rather than requiring the whole page to be moved sideways. Their content may still need horizontal navigation when there are many columns.
Status messages use words such as incomplete, offline or no data. A colour alone should not tell you whether a record is available. Inline charts have text labels; where a chart supports a table or written value, use that accompanying information if the graphic is difficult to interpret.
Search, forms and privacy
The shared search and Ask form uses a labelled search field and a standard submit button. You can submit it with the keyboard. The public website requires no account and its pages do not need client JavaScript to render.
When asking a question, include the event, location and time window if they matter. Unsupported or ambiguous questions may need clarification or may not receive an estimate. Do not put personal or confidential information into the form; the privacy policy explains retained query information.
There is no cookie banner obscuring the public pages because the site sets no cookies. Your browser’s own controls remain the way to choose zoom, preferred appearance and reading tools.
Limits and testing scope
Data-heavy pages and long source attributions can be harder to navigate than short text. External source websites have their own accessibility characteristics, which qourat does not control. A source’s incomplete data can also limit the explanation available on a page.
Automated checks and visual review can identify many structural, contrast and layout issues, but they do not establish usability with every assistive technology. Manual screen-reader test results are not yet available; no browser and screen-reader combination is listed as verified.
If a table, status message or control prevents you from completing a task, please report it. The most useful measure is whether you can find and interpret the information you came for.
Report a barrier or request another format
Email hello@qourat.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the point where you got stuck and, if known, your browser and assistive technology. You do not need to disclose a medical condition or disability.
You can ask for a text explanation of a specific public page or a clearer presentation of a particular record. Describe the information needed and any deadline. A request will need to respect the same privacy and source-licence limits as the website.
No guaranteed response time or alternative-format service level is published. We may ask for more detail to reproduce a barrier. For privacy-sensitive reports use privacy@qourat.com; other ways to contact the operator are on Contact.
